Overview
An Electoral College is a group of people selected by the ruler. It numbers at least 300 times the number of seats allocated to each emirate for FNC membership. According to the UAE Constitution, the FNC is composed of 40 members divided among the emirates as follows:

An Electoral College member enjoys the right of participating in the election and contesting as a candidate to be elected from his/her emirate only.
